Bringing 14 international companies under one communication roof – that’s the challenge the EnviroWater Group tackled with the help of Fellow Digitals and their innovative intranet solution. The result? A multilingual platform with a news hub, information center, event overview, and people directory, where employees from across all member companies can connect and grow together.

About EnviroWater Group

As a specialist network with 14 international member companies the EnviroWater Group (EWG) is becoming Europe's leading network of companies for industrial, commercial and medical water utilization and wastewater treatment.

The challenge

“Achieving great things together” is the motto of the international EnviroWater Group (EWG). But due to the decentralized structure, the individual companies and their employees often lack information about the product features, procedures and innovations of their sister companies. Under a common umbrella, access to knowledge and contact persons should be created.

The solution

With a group-wide intranet project, the EnviroWater Group achieves transparency and networking on four levels:

  • Information Hub: This is where documents with product and company information are made available centrally

  • News: Interesting news from the Group or the individual sister companies

  • Events & Academy: Members can register themselves to access relevant events and training courses, which, among other things, offer space for networking

  • People Directory: Each specialist area is assigned per company with experts who can be found in the people directory with just a few clicks.

“Thanks to our group-wide intranet, experts now find each other at eye level. The intranet platform has helped us through its good structuring and filter options, its detailed index of persons including person search and the integration of a multitude of possibilities, such as our events and training opportunities.”

Claudia Müller, Project Manager | Business Development

The result

The EnviroWater Group has succeeded in creating a common intranet, to create a place of exchange. Using the news area and information hub, employees from each of the 14 companies are now well informed and able to pass on knowledge to their company. In addition, events and people searches provide excellent networking opportunities at expert level, on the basis of which ideas and projects are projects are advanced together. The group of companies with a decentralized structure is now able to effectively promote the use of synergies between the individual companies and thus “achieve great things together”.
